Server Upgrade Rossini.com is pleased to announce that we are upgrading our hosting service to a faster more secure location. This move will allow us to better serve and support our customers. We are moving our server to a facility with faster access which will increase the speed for web page loading, email downloads, and our database functions. In addition, the new facility will have emergency power backup with automatic generator power in case of a power failure. We will also be enhancing our procedure for data backup. Currently, we store data for 7 days with weekly off site storage. With the new facility, our backup will increase to 30 days of data, and daily off site storage. With this new capability, we will have the ability to restore critical data or files for up to 30 days. The facility has many other features as well. The move of our server will take place this weekend. We have made advance plans so that any downtime will be minimal. If there is any interruption of service at all, it will be after business hours on Friday, February 25th. New Web sites An overview of projects we've been working on at Rossini.com: Masterware of Overland Park, Kansas serves the software and hardware needs of small and large companies throughout the United States. They are currently launching a new product, The Billing Master, which is an enhanced accounting and project management software product. Visit their web site which features a small Flash intro on the Billing Master page, plus an animated overview of the product. The City of Bonner Springs, Kansas web site has a new look with an on-line interactive calendar. Coming soon, an expanded tourism section. City of Osawatomie, Kansas has a new web site created by Rossini.com. The Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce is one of our Market Your City customers. Visit their web site which includes a ticker, interactive calendar, and membership roster. All of these items can be updated as needed by the customer. The Paola Chamber of Commerce has become our most recent Market Your City customer. In addition to a web site "face lift," their web site will now feature the MYC ticker, calendar, and membership database. The Kansas City Gift Mart New web site coming soon! Candle Effects launched their new business last year with the release of their web site. They have developed a battery operated candle ideal for special events, weddings, concerts and more. The web site features a shopping cart to purchase the candles with an interface to PayPal. The Aunt Pat's Doll Shoppe web site has been upgraded with a shopping cart and PayPal interface. The web site for the City of Wentzville has undergone an extensive update.	E-mail newsletters You see them everyday in your in box, the use of e-mail newsletters is growing and this is an affordable way to reach your customer base on an on going basis. I personally get several e-news blasts everyday. An e-mail newsletter is inexpensive, and a cost savor in paper and postage. VIRUS ALERTS The W32/Mydoom.bb@MM is a Medium Risk mass-mailing worm that carries the dangerous BackDoor-CEB.f Trojan, which tries to disable regular anti-virus updating and also help a remote user hijack an infected machine. The worm spreads using stolen email addresses harvested from the victim PC and search engine queries. Watch out for messages pretending to be fake bounces from Postmaster or Mail Administrator.
